Industry leaders in the maintenance of synthetic playing surfaces and facilities have jointly developed the industry’s first dedicated online resource.

-

Instrumental in the development of the site, Replay Maintenance has contributed information and advice on how training and maintenance can ensure the longevity and cost-effectiveness of any synthetic sports facilities.

The new website – www.iogsynthetics.co.uk – offers clear, easy-to-follow, no-nonsense information routes for everyone involved in the specification and maintenance of synthetic facilities – specifically groundsmen, bursars and managers/owners. The site also features practical video footage on:
• The selection of the ideal surface and facilities suited to specific needs and demands.
• Where to obtain industry-leading advice/consultancy.
• The alternatives in surface construction and lighting.
• How effective maintenance routines can ensure the quality, longevity and cost-effectiveness of synthetic facilities.
• Selecting the right maintenance equipment.
• Intuitive, informative and practical training, education and consultancy.

Garry Martin, operations director at Replay commented on the new site: “Advising and empowering grounds professionals, facility managers, bursars and end users has always been a top priority at Replay. We are delighted to share our knowledge, gleaned over many years within the synthetic sports industry, by providing unbiased, pro-active, empirical and relevant information; available to all and for free.”

The site also provides information on the history of synthetic surfaces from the development of First to Third Generation; a glimpse of future developments; a Frequently Asked Questions section; and an insight to the companies and organisations that have contributed to the information resource.

In addition to Replay, Abacus Lighting, BLc Sports, FieldTurf Tarkett, the IOG and Redexim Charterhouse have jointly developed the project.
